Topping from the bottom  (Blog)

Topping from the bottom is discouraged in female led relationships (FLRs) because it goes against the agreed power dynamic. It goes against the spirit of an FLR.

The core idea is for the woman to take charge and make decisions. Excessive input or demands from the submissive partner contradicts this power exchange. It also prevents the submissive from fully experiencing submission.

Part of submission is letting go of control and trusting the dominant partner.

It can also be frustrating for the dominant partner because she feels like her authority is being challenged or that she isn't truly in charge if the submissive is always trying to steer things. However, the submissive partner should be able to express preferences and desires in appropriate ways.

Complete prohibition of any input from the submissive could potentially enable abuse. The key is finding the right balance where the agreed-upon FLR power dynamic is maintained, while still ensuring both partners feel fulfilled and respected.
